Keeping the Toys in the Pram (aka Helping Adults Play Nice in the Workplace)

December 2 @ 14:00 - 15:00 EST

Have you ever wanted to know the secrets of cohesive and aligned teams? Would you like to make that work for you so you are always in the room where decisions are being made?

Jim Massey shares his perspectives on leadership in an era where Compliance, Ethics and ESG are requiring greater collaboration and executive presence than ever before. He will talk about how to understand team and individual dynamics, how to align to purpose, how to demonstrate trust and respect through your words and actions and how being a good leader also means being a good follower.

About our speaker, Jim Massey: Business as usual is how we got here, I’m unapologetic about using my knowledge and my network to prove what’s possible when we prioritize the business of us. My days are spent collecting dots to help those around me connect them. By demanding values be the center of our value chain, my teams can be fearless about doing what’s right – a critical requirement in today’s environment.

Most recently as Vice President, Global Sustainability at AstraZeneca (AZ), I built the company’s first sustainability program, Lead with Health, that led to AZ’s recognition as one of Corporate Knights 100 Most Sustainable Companies for the past three years. Prior to this role, I held progressive roles in ethics & compliance, leadership development, training, marketing, and sales in both small and large companies.

I received my BSBA in Marketing from the University of Missouri and a Masters in Organization Development from Johns Hopkins University. I’m married to Emily Schmidt, a broadcast journalist and entrepreneur. We live in Chevy Chase, MD and love juggling the struggle of our life’s work as we raise Sawyer (13) and Lawson (11). My preferred pronouns are he/him/his.
